Unit G Summary Question #5: Crossing Asymptotes

5. Describe the conditions in which a graph can cross through an asymptote.

The graph can sometimes cross through an asymptote but only under certain conditions. For horizontal asymptotes, the graph can sometimes cross through the asymptote, but only towards the middle of the graph. The graph can never cross the asymptote towards the far right or left. Also, the same rules apply to slant asymptotes. However, the graph can never cross through a vertical asymptote.
